This year I moved my mother herefrom a 5-year stay in an upscale, corporate facility in Rancho Mirage. The corporate facility was often too busy with other things to tend to the residents. You could place a call regarding your loved one and not receive a response, so you would have to go into the office to get someone to speak with you. Voice mails went to voicemail inboxes that had the names of people who had left the company years ago. The food was, frankly, terrible at times. In the meantime, room rates skyrocketed while activities plummeted. Some of the staff were caring, but overall it felt like you were just a number there.

At Sunset Retreats, we have found the very clean and lovely home, the team, and the food to be comforting and inviting. The owners take special care here, from treating all residents like part of the family, to being extremely kind and responsive. My mother is much happier with the consistent, personalized attention she receives. She is more relaxed and loves her room and the very clean surroundings. This is her home.

Making a decision on where to place your person is difficult for many reasons. I feel very fortunate to have found Sunset Retreats. It has changed our lives for the better.
